Great flowers! I'm glad that you got some really nice vinis. I like the Farrie hybrids, especially the third one and the first vini of the second group. It is very nice. The Suk's Webs are nice too. I'm partial to Supersuk.

Thank you!

I've never had species sukhakulii. Do you know if it is normal that their flowers last barely one month?

I also like supersuk. I had a nice one with multiple growths. The problem was that the flowers lasted barely one month and the flowers did not bloom often. It just grew and grew and grew like weeds. So I eventually gave it up.
I bought a whole bunch of Hsinying Alien (which has supersuk as one of its parents), many of them turned out looking almost the same as suk's web.
I have kept two that are dark and unique and one "common" one for beautiful leaves, which is now coming into bloom again.

A few different places, basically every time I see something I like, I grab them.

Jolly Holiday and some of the vinis were bought in a store called "Orchid Man" in midtown west here.
Their main stock is phalaenopsis (great quality!). then depending on the season and availability, they have oncidium intergenerics, cattleyas, dendrobiums, and lady slippers. Mostly coming in from Hawaii.
I bought some nice plants from them this year.
They also have beautiful pots.
I should really stay away from this store.

Hi NY,
Thank you for your response.

How was your trip? How did your plants do in your absence?

You're welcome!

My trip was wonderful. Thank you for asking.

My plants are good.
All the orchids are alive although everyone except for a few large phals is really dry and wrinkled up. Some paphs lost flowers and buds, one cattleya lost buds. I soaked them all really good and I see they recover slowly. Dendrobiums are already all plump and wrinkle free almost!

Some dendrobiums were in amazingly display when I came in. It was such a great welcome!!!

I did lose four house plants I love though. I should have placed them at someone else's house, but didn't want to bother anyone.
The good news that three of those four are highly replaceable.

I was going to do a thread about it. Maybe I will tonight.
