I haven't tried selfing it. I've never tried anything with Paphs.

I must say that this is a very sweet looking Paph, and I can't help but wonder why no one has remade the cross. Apparently, it's vigorous for still being around after a hundred years (!), and it's aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Congrats on a nice old hybrid, and congrats on keeping it going and flowering!

Wonderful bloom and VERY interesting story! We are very near the Harriman State Park here and my sister-in-law lived in Harriman (the town). Being new to the orchid world, I was surprised to hear that an orchid could live so long.
Thanks for making my day!

Shape isn't that great, though, and it's not a very large flower for the size of the plant.

Maybe I haven't seen a great example of this hybrid, but everything I have seen basically looked very much cupped in like this one. I thought it was the norm.
By the way, the color is unique to me. Again, limited exposure, the ones I've seen didn't have this much dark color, just bright yellowish green with dark line on the dorsal.

I've never seen another, and the cupped shape is probably from the parent. I suppose I'm comparing it too much to the hybrids that are around today.

Wow, really love it. I quite like the cupped shape as well and don't see anything wrong with that. Maybe just my taste
