This is a division given to me by Naoki (Mollycart) a couple of years ago. Of course it decided to bloom for the first time while I was on vacation. Both flowers are quite large. When it first opens the dorsal looks very green. As the flower ages it fades to yellow and then cream.

Any cultural advice on this one? Mine has six growths, four of which I would consider blooming size, but I hadn't been able to coax it into bloom yet.

I'm growing mine as warm as I can year round. It gets repotted annually. I try to not let it dry out completely. Fertilize weekly with MSU. I'm growing under T5HO lights plus whatever it gets from the window. I have found mine to be a really slow grower. It's only 2 growths. The one it's blooming from is pretty small which surprised me. The original growth is still growing new leaves.  |
