Beautiful flower!

I just recently got a Pedro's Moon at our Orchid Society meeting. Glen Decker from Piping Rock Orchids gave a good presentation on Paphs. I'm hoping mine will bloom soon!

Did he mention anything about the culture?

Hi NYCorchidman,

Paph. Pedro's Moon is from the Parvisepalum group; It's seed parent is Paph armeniacum and it's pollen parent is Paph. Pinocchio.

Parvisepalum:
The below info is from Glen:

Light: 1200 foot candles, similar to a Phal

Water: moist all the time, drier when cooler

Temperature: min. night temp of 58 F, but can be grown cooler down to 45 F

I am a relative newbie. I picked Pedro's Moon because I liked the color and Glen said it was easy to care for.

Oh, I meant paphs in general, but thank you.

Usually hybrids involoving a sequential bloomers like pniocchio is quite easy to grow and bloom.

I have seen their plants at a show years ago and they were all good but all were small seedlings.
I wish they had more pictures on the website.

Good luck with your Pedro's Moon!

My Pedro's Moon has 7 leaves and is about 13 inches from one leaf tip to the other. I've had it a little less than a month. See attached picture.

It's got the influence of beautiful leaves of armeniacum and the large leaf size of the Pinocchio.
