TJ's paph in bloom.
Got this one in bud from Trader Joe's. It's opened all the way now, and sending up a new spike.
I'm quite please with the shape of this one. Not exactly wide flat or pretty, but I really enjoy how the petals curl back.

I wish my TJ carried lady slippers.
Yeah, I have never seen maudiae type alba with such curled back petals. How interesting!
I have two alba that are opening up at the moment and one of the two looks quite promising!

The TJ's here used to carry some nice ones... then they carried some really small and unhealthy ones - and now, none. Fortunately, I found more places to get paph's!
That looks like a nice one coming along there! My 'first' orchid in my current collection (meaning that I still have) is a noid vini from TJ's. I'm grateful for it!
Have fun with it!

I had a really good source where I could get decently priced paphs of many different tyeps, but that place no longer carried paphs.
Oh, well...

They don't?
Ours gets them in seasonal batches. Or at least it seems that
way.
I'm greatly enjoying how the petals curl back.
I hope your turn out wonderful, but your plants seem to do that anyway.

TJs here carry mostly phals and oncidium intergenerics (many many different varieties to choose from). Every now and then, you see dendrobium nobile hybrids or phal type.
no lady slippers and no cattleyas.
Both of my alba flowers are now open, and both are really big and nicely colored, except one of them, the bigger one, is not standing up its dorsal looking funny. hmmm

You're all lucky. Tj's around here carry phals, phals, phals, phals... Did I mention they carry phals? There's a Baker's grocery store around here that has some AWESOME cymbidiums. Only 1 place for paphs here, The Plant House. They wished I liked vinis and albas more because they have sooo many.

Nice paph. The two places that carry orchids around here just have the phals and not that many of them. Earlier this summer, one of them did have a few bagged orchids and I was astounded. Unfortunately, I don't have room for any more orchids.
