Default Paphiopedilum Ron Williamson

(Paphiopedilum niveum X Paphiopedilum primulinum)
This was given to me by our fellow member Glengary 54 out of the kindness of his heart when he read about a comment I wrote that I was scared in caring for this kind of orchid. I was then a newbie in this forum and barely had two dozen orchids on my windowsill with just a handful of friends who guided me though all this.
Arrived NEW YORK, NY 10003 10/07/11 9:23am from Florida with several other plants and I got this already potted and this never got repotted ever since; maybe when it gets pot bound next year. I give it twice a week watering = I let the faucet run through the plant for a minute or so without wetting the leaves. I place the plant in the sink and use tepid water and I let the plant drain completely. This is located on the east facing window of the kitchen at constant 80F in the day and 65F at night near a humidifier with oscillating fan.
Fertilizer weekly weakly with K-Lite and seaweed mix and I make sure to spray the underside of the leaves with the mix.
This gave me blooms last cycle period but it all blasted. This was maybe because I moved its placement while spiking. I have seen pictures of this orchid in different pastel hues and lighter shades but there is a flicker picture from a grower in Malaysia who had the exact color and form as mine.

That's a nice mixture of white and green. I like it.

The green serves it, the flower is a good balance of both parents. And It's inherited the sequential habit! Good growing.
