You won't rot it! Some phrags spend many, many weeks totally submerged in flooded rivers, creeks, and streams. My phrag is practically floating in water, you won't kill it with overwatering! (Always use quality water though)

I'm using rain water now as I have it but I have used my well water in the past and this plant has bloomed for me twice so maybe my well water isn't that bad. I will have to look up the test sheet and see if it gives me PH.

PH is important, but what you really need with these is low TDS.

So I found my sheet the test was done in 2001. The PH is 7.8 and I am assuming TDS is Total Dissolved Solids????? It is 1200 mg?l 70.175 gpg.......I have no idea what any of that means.

There recommendation was to get an RO system to reduce the sodium sulfate. So there ya go then it would be just fine for my orchids. Now will this get done not sure of that, I wonder what dear hubby will think of this idea. We didn't do anything when we got this years ago.
