This is a cross between fairrieanum and hsinying citron.
I got in bloom almost two years ago.
It had a large flower on a tall spike. I've seen lots of variation of this flower and I really liked mine. The shape of the dorsal was great and the color with a little bit of copper and slight green....would love to see it again.
So far, it has been a great grower, making total of five, two of them being very recent. It just never rebloomed in almost two years.
I now see what appears to be the beginning of a spike.
The latest "leaf" on one of the two oldest growths is really small and a bit hairy, which is usually a spike.
Then the other old growth is also making something in its center.
Maybe I will be graced with two beautiful flowers in the early fall?
I have another cross that has fairrieanum in it and that one does not bloom well either.
Anyone growing fairrieanum, is that typical of fairrieanum?
