Here's the phrag. Sorcerer's Apprentice that I received from Piping Rock Orchids. It's 28" tall. This is pretty darned big for my growing area. It looks like a small tree. The other phrag is a seedling so it's smaller.

Hmmm - trimmed leaf tips. You should call the vendor and ask why they turned brown in the first place.

So I think these are listed as 'previously bloomed', yes? So there is an old growth and a newer, almost mature growth in the front? That's how it appears, at least to me.

I like that pot. I have a similar one but round not square.
Yeah, it is a big plant. I like this variety in bloom but the plant is just way too big for me to handle. lol
Good luck!

Not all of us have a ton of space for big plants! Or some of us do, but have 'too many'. haha

You probably like it most of all because you haven't run out of room yet.

I had a Les Dirouilles for a few years. I purchased it from someone who was closing their greenhouse for $3. It was in pretty bad shape. Anyway it took it a year or so to recover. It bloomed last year, and the thing was a monster......almost came to my shoulder! The plant was also huge. It started getting really big as soon as the culture got better. As soon as the bloom finished I sold it to a friend because it was way to big for my space.

This is true, my opinion might change in time. Oh guiltergal that's so sad.....the only way this thing is going out of my house is roots up. Mine wasn't quite that tall but it was tall I didn't measure it.
