It's always great to find new fans growing on the little buggers. Imagine my surprise when I found not one, but two on my henryanum, too! My Maudiae is working on its new fan, but it's a rather weak plant, so I don't know if it'll make it or not yet.

Speaking of Henryanum, my henryanum & Green Complex (I wouldn't bother listing the names, too long) is dying.
I've seen a plant with a same tag at a store last month and the flower was not as good as mine and the coloring was different too.
What a bummer...The good news is there are many beautiful paphs I have not tried yet.

That's a bonus! Do they have different flowers too or very similar? if different and you like them both, then it's a real bonus, isn't it?
I haven't had that happen to me yet, but I suspect that one of my maudiae alba which is exceptionally vigorous (it is putting out 7 new fans at the moment) is in fact more than one plant in one pot.
I will find out when I repot later. All the flowers last season (4) looked exactly the same though.

I think it's pretty much the same.
Yours is just much older than mine, so the size difference.
The pictures are blurry and I can't quite tell for sure but it looks to me the new fan on that plant is bent because the growing tip is stuck on the older fan next to it.
Maybe you can help relax it?
Yours could be a true maudiae, a cross between lawrenceanum and callosum, or a generic tag, which then could be any hybrid that has a flower that look like maudiae, maudiae type as they are often called.
