Great pic Ross....I really should get this species. It is certainly one of the most unique among the Paphs.

Hey how large is the plant? Just interested to know how small the plants can flower.

I love that bloom, it's a beauty! Congratulations.

It's pretty small for a Paph (9" or so wide, total leaf span) but spike is really tall (20" or so). Blossom is pretty small, compared to many of the hybrid paphs (3" tall overall by 1.5" wide overall) It's a real darling, but not for the person that likes frilly poofy flowers I've heard it's tempermental, but that's not been my experience. I have cool growing conditions F (70's during day and 60's night during winter (bloom season) and 80's during day and 70's during night (languish season ))

Cool? That to me is warm growing but we live in different places. That is interesting to know, it seems I have a long time to wait as the leaves on mine would be about 4" across, so maybe a few more years of growing left.

Thanks!

I got mine this last spring (fall to you) March, or so and it was only 4" or so. Grew to approx 9" and grew two new sprouts besides. Then it spiked. So maybe yours will do it sooner, than later?

That helps alot Ross, Thanks for that!
I've heard these guys need pretty cool tempts for them to bloom - the 60's sound much more reasonable to me and doable, so it goes on the list for next spring
