Default A few Parvis

I've been slowly collecting some of my favorite Parvisepalum Paphs, here are recent ones in bloom:

Fanaticum (micranthum x malipoense)--first-bloom seedling, got it just before the flower fell but at least I know what I can look forward to.

Norito Hasegawa (armeniacum x malipoense)--the spike took 3-4 months to develop but definitely worth the wait.

Fumi's Delight (micranthum x armeniacum)--another FBS, I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

delenatii--also FBS, an outcross between a pink one and the darker 'dunkel' type. Has a nice strong rosy-lemony fragrance.

All very nice! I have a young Paph. Fanaticum that I can't wait to see in bloom.

Thanks everyone! J, only the NH and FD are currently in bloom. The Fanaticum flower fell a few days after I got it in mid-late February and delenatii fell last week. They've overlapped bloom periods enough that I've enjoyed nice slipper-flowers for a few months, though.

Love those parvis! Have any others? I've been collecting the parvi species and their color varieties.

I know this is an old thread, but I was just curious as I just obtained a few parvi hybrids myself.

So, how are your parvis doing now???
Especially Fumi's Delight and Norito Hasegawa?

I bought those two, and Lynleigh Koopowitz and some other.

I already have Armeni White, which is doing well.

I again have to say, love your parvis! Would love to see some leaf pics.

NYCorchidman, this limitless bit of info may help... I have a few parvis (almost have every variety of every parvi species) and I've noticed that they really don't benefit from lots of extra calcium like other paphs might and I've been most successful with them in a half sphagnum mix or in a bark mix top-dressed with sphagnum.

I read that delenatii is the only species in the parvi group that need slighty acidic substrate.

By the way, how long have you had yours?

What is your growing set up for your parvis?
How much light do you give yours?
I read some mixed stuff, but the habitat data shows basically bright dappled light. stronger light in the winter, especially for armeniacum.
Deep shade for malipoense.

I'm an indoor grower.

Also, do yours all grow and flower well?
Do you provide cold winter??

The ones I just bought at the show are in fresh mix, so I do not have to worry for a while, but I did repot my Armeni White two days ago. It was difficult to put potting mix between so many roots. I was tempted to divide to make the job easier, but I want bigger plant, so I left the clump as is. I'm afraid I might have left some gap between roots. oh, well...

Armeni White was potted with hydroton at the bottom, then small grade orchiata, and then top dressed with green sheet moss.
