Default Looking better...

The flower petals spread out some more today and certainly better than yesterday.

Right?

and guess what? It looks even better yet today as the petals continues to grow larger.
I should take more pictures in a couple of days.

From what I observed last time it flowered, the flower continues to grow larger until the color is completed washed out to white.

There's still some yellow hue left on the flower at the moment, so that means it is still "growing".
I really wish the color stayed. oh, well...

Default Yet another picture

I took this morning.

Still lovely yellowish white, although it is getting lighter and lighter.

The petals are even larger today.
I never really like the "toliette" pouch of parvi types and I got this one for interesting leaves and it also had quite a few fans and one bud at the time of purchase.
Well, I can say I am developing new taste here.

I for one, prefer it white. I can't get enough of the "toilette" pouches of the parvis. I don't know why, but I just love the color and pouches of the parvis. I also like almost all the cyps too.

I'm a big parvi fan too. This is a really nice example of Armeni White. Looks like a nice big flower. Too bad parvi flowers don't last very long.

I can now "stand" the pouch but I still can stand micranthum for some reason.

Cyps are cool looking to me. If I had a garden, I would definitely get some of them.

Thanks!

Yeah, last time if I remember correctly, the bloom lasted barely over one month. but this plant has flowered three times since last September, so the frequency beats out my maudiae!

How's your wonderful Ho Chi Min doing??

Default Second bud is open!

It opened up a couple of days ago actually.
It has that yellowish hue and the shape is a little off, so it is still developing.

I took one during the day and again in the evening, just now. I think the evening shot really shows the texture of the toilette bowl pouch well.

On another exciting note, I just spotted a spike sheath on one of the newly matured fans. (there are about two, with a few younger ones)
That will be the fourth flowering in less than one year!
It is a record for any of my paphs. One maudiae alba bloomed three times a year, which has been a winner so far.

With such a short flower life of this plant, I'm not sure if I will see all of them in bloom together, but at least I will get to enjoy the continuous flower show out of the same plant.

I'm afraid though after the fourth flowering, there will be a rather long drought as all the younger fans are much smaller and growing very slowly so far.
Guys, speed up, please!!!
