Default A few nice paphs

I have a many more that arent so nice ...The pouches on a lot of them are deformed. The guy who bred most of these tells me that the 1st blooms are sometimes not the best. As the plant gets older the blooms should improve. Makes sense to me and Im happy with that explanation.

No award quality flowers but nice regardless. Awards for paphs are tough to get. Even a ribbon is difficult bec so many grow very nice and usually expensive divisions. I haven't made the commitment yet to spend a few hundred on 1 plant and not so sure I want to do that. Thanks for looking its been a long hard time for me and my plants and they are starting to give something back in a small joy
Herons Fare. These get some bad pouches. This one is smaller than the past flowers but the pouch is ok

Very nice Vini. Memoria Jack Fowlie ( I think was mis tagged)

site says this one is white..Its not white as you can well see.Very nice large dorsal good coloring all around the pouch. Vey nice. Ill find out what this one really is as he doesnt have it listed on his website. I let him pick for me the plants so some of what I have are very limited.

Deperles
I love deperles. Always got a few around. I have at least 3 I know of.

not quite as large as the one I got 3rd place on last year but nice shape and good clear white coloring with some small spots. I have more but need something to post tomorrow. Dont want to wear you all out today

The one you say was named Memoria Jack Fowlie is certainly mis-labelled. Your flower exhibits a large amount of charlesworthii parentage, while Memoria Jack Fowlie is 1/2 delenatii, 1/4 concolor, 1/4 niveum. You don't have to buy plants costing hundreds of dollars to win awards, but you do have to buy seedlings from good parents, buy more than one or two, and submit them for judging. There are probably more Paphiopeilums awarded than any other genus.

Or you could buy a flask that has good parentage, it takes a while to raise them though... but it's really fun!
