Paph. primulinum var. flavum
For those of you who want "ever-blooming" orchids, try one of these if it appeals to you. The flowers last about 3-4 weeks each, and as you can see, sometimes more than one at a time. New buds continue to form at the end of the spike. It can bloom and continue to grow until it has had 3 doz. flowers or more on one spike (but not all at once).
The foliage is plain green but the length of bloom time makes up for this shortcoming.

I need to shoot these against a darker background to show off the hairiness of the petals. The background in these shots is my dining-room wall which is actually a mint green. When balancing for full shade (and truer color of the flower) the background looks gray.

Retook the shots with a black background. It shows off the hairiness of the flower better.

Are all primulinum that floriferous or is it applicable only to that variety?
