I don't think roth crosses are difficult, they are just so slow to mature most people give up on them before they bloom.

So they are just slow, not difficult. Great to know!
I would then buy me a blooming size plant then.

Same with sanderianum! They are not difficult or picky at all (well, the seedlings sometimes are but not mature plants). They aren't difficult to get to bloom either, it just takes a little time. So take the dive and prepare to drain your wallet and get a big one! A roth is nice too...

Thanks for all your nice comments. You are encouraging me to add one paphi or another. I've always liked fairrieanum, and even a strong seedling of sanderianum would find a place on my bench, if I could be sure that its not doomed to say goodbye soon.

If you want a nice sanderianum, definitely contact the guy I mentioned above. I was surprised at how nice the roots are on the sanderianum I got from him. I repotted mine in a clear pot so I knew exactly when to water. Leo now has some bigger seedlings that will bloom probably next year and some bigger, mature plants that will probably bloom this summer. He also has the best prices. If I can grow a sanderianum, anyone can!
