I just recieved this new paph from piping rock orchids. How long do you think it will take to grow into a blooming sized plant? Also, Any general care instructions, like water, light, etc? Thanks!

What paph is it? Looks like a multi floral. They generally like bright indirect light, maybe a touch of direct sun early in the morning. They like to be moist, not wet, in a fairly open mix. It looks nice and healthy and you can't go wrong with a Piping Rock plant. They are very well grown.

It is Michael Koopowitz 'Stephen' x Paph. Gigantifolium 'Awesome' I think.

You have a happy healthy plant; it might bloom for you on the next season cycle....
I grow mine similar to Phalaenopsis culture in light, humidity and temperature....but I keep it evenly moist and feed it weekly weakly

Wow, awesome! Thank you for that picture! I talked to the person at piping rock, he said probably 2 - 3 years until blooming size.

Sounds about right, they are slow buggers these large multiflora Paphs. I have a MK that I think might be one or two years away from BS, it has a new growth coming up, which I think will increase the growth rate a bit.

Good luck with you new Paph!

Ooh. Love this hybrid. I have one of its parents, a 2 growth sanderianum. Hoping it will bloom this year or next, it last bloomed in 2011. I love to make others jealous with a blooming sized sanderianum!
