Because I am trying to devout myself wholly to growing and breeding Phalaenopsis, so I don't want to be caught up with another genera, especially since I don't know much about the breeding characteristics of its species and I don't want to put the time into learning the whole complex and the way things breed when I already have about two years of learning on Phals. This is what is causing me to want to get rid of my Catts and Bulbos. Except one of my Bulbos are finally spiking, as if it were to have felt my scornful glare and is trying to save itself and the rest of its friends! Although I do think I will get rid of them over time. . .

Gee Wiz Cody you don't have to breed them! You could just keep a few around for your own enjoyment! I already got rid of my Catts, Oncs, and Bulbos. I'm only growing Phals, Paphs and Phrags now.

Unfortunately, I am wired in such a way that attached to any desire or liking for a plant comes with a wish to breed with them, which is why I am staying away from Paphs--it's just too much of a hassle to breed with. My thinking is that if I were to buy a Paph or two, I will immediately think that those plants are now taking up space that something I could breed with could go.

I'd be worried about space too with all the flasks you have coming in the next few years if all your breeding plans go through.

Two pods already sown, two quite mature pods, and two just started. I also have four other plants in spike or bud to come in a few months. So. . . yeah, I have a lot coming!!
