So pretty! Reminds me of daffodils before they bloom!

For my Paph. Magical Venus to bloom, last time it took almost exactly 2 months but it had a shorter spike that time so it could be longer.

Yay! More buds.

Daenerys: It depends on what Paph it is. Some bloom rather quickly after the bud/spike has started to grow, while others, like malipoense, take their sweet time. My cerveranum take about a month from that the spike starts to grow (there always seems to be a period of "bud sulking in the crown" before anything else.

************************************************** ****

I was a good girl today, and took some pictures of my Paphs in bud.

Here they are and we start with the cerveranum's spike, I mean bud :

Here's the robinsonii:

Here's the Ashburtoniae:

And here's a comparison between the size of the first flower of the callosum and the bud of the Ashburtoniae (the pouch of the call and the Ash bud are aligned, even though it doesn't look like it):

Very nice buds and blooms. I like Paphs but they don't grow that great for me.
