The flower stem on my plant is barely above the foliage, which is about 4-5 inch tall.
All the pictures I've seen online had quite tall stem well above the plants.
The same was true with the p.delenatii and p.Armeniacum.
Maybe mine has a mutation on the stem length? I like it when paph has a tall flower stem.
Anyone knows if there's particular reason why flower stem is so short?
It is probably a one time thing. Many kinds of environmental conditions, physical damage or developmental glitches at a vulnerable stage might cause something like this, but I would be surprised if it doesn't have a normal stem length next time it blooms.
Well, I hope so and it'll be good for me and for the plant itself I think.
There's only one flower this time and it's pretty big covering up good portion of the plant.
It has lots of new growth going right now, so one day, it may have a few blooms and short stem won't help much.
