Default Why is my Paph (Hsinying Maru x rothschildianum) going yellow?

The shading of this leaf is getting lighter each day, noticed it a few days ago. It's never gotten much light and has done well. A few weeks ago, I was rearranging the chids and the paphs got put into a spot that received a little more light then usual. After a few days, I changed my mind and moved them back. Now, at least two weeks later, this one is getting lighter
What do I do?

Do you have a bud comming?
On some of my blooming molted types, I see just clear leafs they aren't as big as the regular leafs.
Sorta like some phrags that are comming into bloom, you get small red leafs (if I can call them that) before the blooming starts.

Other then that, I have no idea

I'll look again but I don't think so
Thanks Gloria

I did realize that this is the new growth, not the original plant. Would it make sense to seperate it?

Ooooh it's a new growth, OK! that photo thru me off. The newer growth, it looks like a top, so mature growth behind that,
right?

Does it have any roots formed yet?

Okay, I took it out of the pot and found lots of great roots on both plants. I separated the baby and potted it on it's own. Hopefully, I'll be able to save this one.

...I wouldn't have separated them since it will take much longer to grow on its own. but I guess you have that nice weather in flordia
I'm not sure why it yellowed, maybe it is a nutrient deficency or a reaction to stronger light

Hi Fren

Not a big deal to wait. With not knowing what the yellowing was coming from, I feel better having it off on it's own. We'll see what happens. When it comes down to it...it's only a plant

It looks a reaction to increased light and lack of corresponding nutrients to compensate.

I think Bill is right...most likely a reaction to the temporary move into higher light and then the move back. All my fault

The reason I was worried is that it was a change in color kind of suddenly.

Thanks for your input, Gin I'll keep that in mind too.
