Here is my very first blooming of this awarded clone. I like it. I was hoping for a taller spike but not to worry.

What a darling!

I really like the horizontal stance of the petals and the nicely striped the dorsal.

Yes I like her too. She doesn't look like the pic of her on Schwerter though ... Anyway, I have another one in low sheaf so the fun isn't over yet

Ah, never trust those pictures! They can be misleading at times I've noticed.

Yay! More blooms to come then! How long did it take for this flower to go from sheath to fully opened bloom?

I got it in April -around mid April- and it bloomed yesterday, so not too long. I've got another wardii from a british grower. I think that it's in low sheaf right now but it is only a near blooming sized one so don't know if it is actually a sheaf yet -fingers crossed. I only have albas in my collection and the next one I will see bloom is a beauty from Schwerter -again. I can't wait for that! I also have a maudiae alba from them which suffered from the same thing that your roth did, no root tips. I have had it for a year and it has not grown. But...I am sure that the flower sheaf -that has not grown at all since I spotted it whilst looking down the crown- is now finally making a move all be it a very slow one. So good culture can make a difference. Just be patient.
