I ordered a previously bloomed sanderianum from Leo Schordje for about $150 total; includes shipping, tax, and plant. The older growth is 22" and the new growth is 16". I can't wait for it to get here!!!

"Don't buy a seedling if your over 40, or you'll never see it bloom in your lifetime". Fortunately, more modern cultivars are better than that - still slow, but not THAT slow.
Don't say that, I have just ordered a 10cm sandie seedling form Ten Shin orchids! I am almost forty - next year. Should I get a Maudiae instead??
P. sanderianum size depends on the growing condition and its genetic. It can bloom in plant range from 20" LS to 3 feet. Its a very warm grower so, if you can keep it night time temp above 20'C, it will grow faster. Plant grow in high light tent to have shorter wider leaf and those in lower light has narrower longer leaf.
I normally don't have much luck with strap leaf paph under light...they all bloom and die for me...don't know why... i heard if u mix cool and warm florecent light ...it give best result ...
