Be aware though, if you start getting 'em, you might not be able to stop. I've got 13 now and I want MORE! This despite being a paph owner for only about a month and a half - I just love them.

Ok, I ordered the venestum. Sounds like I might end up having to give it some purified water, but I do have one source says that it's pretty water tolerant. Compared to the Maudae it was also cheaper, and I wanted it mainly for the leaves so I can enjoy that straight away. The Maudaes were also listed as being fairly recently potted, so might not be well rooted.

The leaves on the venustum are just gorgeous even though the flowers might not fall on this side of the "beautiful margin" it's definitely worth having. And, to be honest, I'm actually looking forward to the potential flowers only to see if they might look as "creepy" as in some pictures I've seen of them.

So you DID get a Paph!!!! venestum is a neat one, but so alien like!
I'm very slowly getting into Paphs. Got 4, no more until I rebloom at least 2 of them!

I know. Am I allowed to be a bit rude? I think there is a certain resemblance in some pictures to a scrotum... I prefer it to the delanati types though!
