Personally, I got mine from Windy Hill as I know the owner. Mine has been in bloom now for just about a year and they don't stop! LOVE it!!!!

Very nice, Carol. I bought this one also and my first bloom opened last week. It's my first paph.. Like Terri said, I've heard it can bloom for years. That's my kind of orchid.

I snapped a quick pic of mine this morning. One spike has had 12 blooms with more to come, and the other has had 8 also with more to come. The spikes start getting a little ratty looking because they get so long. It's hard to keep them neat looking when they get this old.

very interesting, didn't know they kept getting longer and longer. Can they be trimmed like the spike of a phal or does the bloom only come from the existing tip?

I saw a couple of pics where this spike just keeps growing, what do you do with it. Can it be trained some how, can you cut it like a phal or just does it just bloom fro the tip-?

Wow, beautiful! I just got a Pinocchio a couple of weeks ago and am eagerly awaiting a spike. It's just now blooming age so I might have to wait a while. I'll enjoy yours while waiting for mine!

These normally only grow and bloom from the tip, one flower at a time, sometimes for years. A branched spike is rare but possible, but cutting it back will just end it.
You can train the spike somewhat, but an upward growing spiral or loosely coiling the older part of the spike are about the only things that would be practical besides the natural irregular arch.
They do not need to rest, the plant just keeps adding new fans of leaves, and a mature plant can have several spikes in bloom at once. Don't hesitate to repot while they are in bloom. At most you may lose one bud but the spike keeps on growing.
