That is a beautiful bloom! And you're right about the back of the flower. I often find the muted colors in the back to be so different from what the flower looks like from the front.
you are really perfecting your paph culture!! was this one grown in one of your round pots? very sweet and perfect bloom....and great photography!!! wowowowowowowwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!
I thought all Paph. Deperles were white. I looked in OrchidWiz and there is a pink cultivar called 'Algonquin'. Who knew? Anyway, it's beautiful RJ! Perfectly bloomed!
you are all too kind. You bet its been grown in one of my little jarworlds. It was the 1st one to enter the microzone ...I needed a trademark and I think I found it.
She has 2 little new babies..See ya again in about 3 years!.I say this is a slow grower but all things added up it might have just been the trauma the plant experienced. Maybe the 2 nubbings will move along faster.. I hope ya think?
the plant had like 6 growths pretty nice sized..Its insignificant now but last year some might remember me finding A mealy..I was told If you got one you got 2 if you got 2 you got 3 etc etc etc. This plant was the source, all up in the leaf crevices. I couldn't dig them all out so I cut the growths off bec they had already bloomed. Didnt make sense to try to save a mealy ridden bloomed out plant. All that was left was one single sad azzed looking growth. Still sad lookin plant but the bloom makes up for it now indeed..I dont want to trade awesome blooms for a mealy infestation but Ill take this one on the chin
