The name tag says Paph. spicerianum '#2' x Paph. Stone Lovely 'CH #4'
After some searching on the internet, I found that this cross has a shorter name, which is Paph.Hsinying Delight.
I've seen some stores and even the farmer's market(two weeks ago but not anymore) sell these guys lately.
I never bought one because most of them had such beat up looking leaves and flowers.
Also, I heard that Paph. spicerianum grows (at least one point in their growth cycle) in very cool condition in the wild. I cannot provide that condition.
Well, I don't know much about the culture requirement for Stone Lovely either although I love their look.
Today, I fonud three stores that still had a few of these guys, again, all beat up...I picked one that had the cleanest leaves, although I was tempted to get the one with four spikes or even two buds on each spike!
They both had terrible leaves, so this one was my pick.
This plant has two spikes, and six new growths of varying sizes, four of which I post pictures of.
The other two (not pictured) look mature in length but very skinny and droopy somehow. I guess no flower potential there, but the other growths look quite promising.
The plant looks like a fast grower like its parent Paph.spicerianum.
As usual, I stopped by a garden supply store to find a nice pot for this guy. I picked a tall metal vase so the long leggy leaves are not going to touch the whatever surface it comes in contact with. It is sitting on my kitchen countertop.
My search for the one with a narrower and slightly twisted doral continues...
