Thanks Silken and Terri. It certainly is happier now. It perked up just a little bit more even after that last picture.

Thanks Bud! The flower caught my eye initially, but the name really clinched it, along with the name of Ascofinetia Moonlight Firefly. I guess I was on a celestial kick. lol.
Trust me, I can't wait to see Moonlight Firefly bloom either! There are a few pictures online if you Google it, mostly bright yellows but a few paler ones.

Hi, Evan! Great flower, thanks for sharing. happy for you that you've found something so cool!
I actually left a comment on someone else's thread but then saw your new avatar picture and left some comment regarding the picture as well, and now I fonud the origin of that picture here!
I love the coloring on this one and the picture you took of it from above looking down. I love that shot and I had some on my paph when they were beginning to open up.
I have two with similar color combination. dark brown/burgundy pouch with white and green dorsal. Both of mine have not so clean white on the dorsal. I love the crisp clean white nicely contrated with the green veining on the dorsal.
My search goes on.

Thanks NYCorchidman! I saw your other post on the Paph. malipoense thread, but I also saw that you posted here so I figured you found the answer to your question.
I have another that is similar to Venus Knight called Hsinying Alien. It has the same colors, but the overall shape, the colors, and the pattern of the spotting aren't as nice as this one, imo. The dorsal also has little spots along the white veins, so it's not that crisp white and green as on Venus Knight.
Hsinying Alien, last year's bloom:
Paphs are one of the few orchids that I prefer to buy in flower because they vary due to being seed propagated. I was lucky to find this one. Good luck in your search!

Thanks, yeah, I agree. Venus Knight is nicer.
Yeah, I try to buy paphs in bloom as well because of the high variability. Names means nothing sometimes.
I have three paphs of the same cross. All three look totally different. then I bought some paphs in bud this past fall. I ended up dumping some of them. they were just darn right ugly for me. lol
