Paph. Celtic Cross
Paph. Celtic Cross (Paph. Thompsonii 'Spicy' x Paph.druryi 'Ray' HCCAOS)
I got this plant already beginning to spike, I was just curious about the name and what kind of flower it would bring me... thats why I bought it. And it turned out just fantastic !
I follow the Baker culture for Paph. care to the letter and dont want to mess with its regimen ( I always get tips and learn the ways of the grower and follow it ).
Its got droopy leaves because of overcrowding in the growing area, but hopefully it will perk up soon and bring me more beautiful blooms.

Very nice, Bud!
I've been looking at this hybrid and thinking of getting one for myself, but I've seen pictures of a couple different versions of it. One has more druryi influence while the other seems to favor Thompsonii. Yours is the type that takes after druryi, which is the version I prefer. I've seen this hybrid from a couple different vendors, but I want to make sure I'm getting one like yours. Would you mind telling me where you got yours from?

That's a great looking Paph. Bud! It definitely favors druryi. I have one of those and that is where that midline stripe on the petals comes from. That and the yellow/green color.

Bud - I love it. Although you can obviously see the druryi influence in the mid line stripe in the petals, what amazes me is the strong influence of spicerianum in the pinched white dorsal and the ruffle to the petals, from three generations back.
