Default Certainly NOT Win, Place or Show!

No, neither of these are winners as you can see. The buckets are pretty nasty. The Song of Love is the 1st flowering for me and there are more buds to open... let's wish for the best! I've posted the Mildred Hunter cross last year and had a much better appearance.

Oh dear! Those are a bit warped. I can definitely see the potential in the first one Howard. Lets hope it does a better job next year.

Hey Teri, I'm hoping when the other buds on the Song of Love open they are better! You can just see the other bud to the upper right above the flower.

Hmm... yes.. lets hope for better next time.

The Mildred Hunter looks really good in last year's photo, so lets hope it goes back that way next flowering.

The Song of Love looks like it should be really good if the pouch sat correctly. Here's hoping it's better in the next buds.

Thanks for showing these Doc, it's really interesting to see the 'mutants' and encouraging when we get them ourselves that we're not the only one

Well, I thought maybe some of you might be interested in an update... then again maybe not.... Anyway, you are going to get one! The 2nd flower opened very nicely IMHO and there are two more on the way. Thanks to all for looking.

Do you think the first warped flowers may have been caused by the onset of colder weather ?

Charlie

Charlie, I have a feeling you might know a ton more than me but it wouldn't be surprised about anything weird causing the malformed flower. I'm just happy it happened to only one flower!
