thanks you
I have completed my move and need to update you on many things..This one now has 2 fully opened blooms. They usually dont last long but its been over 2 weeks now and still there ..

I use big chunky bark and granite chunks in these paphs and the roots do very well. This one lived in a vase jar remember with his feet wet all the time.

his look alike is a glaucophylum and the other one is a spiceranium ..They get lots of light and lots of cool fresh air. They grow right next to the masdys and miltonopsis.

yup the spike gets longer and longer with each bloom and you need to take control of it often
Good work and good choice on the potting materials.

the choise of chunky or small fir bark does depend on the size of the roots..large roots need larger bark and smaller roots need smaller sized bark. The granite chips I learned to screen them to get around 1/2 or larger pieces. As Ray so kindly points out.. you got to be careful with granite chips. Too small granite chips or too much granite sand in there, stays too wet and then its like concrete if it drys out. But so far Ive used everything on the paphs and have pretty much settled on the bark/granite combo.

Hi
A couple of questions: What do you have for a background? It looks very artistic.
I have a Pinnochio, that was given to me and it has 3 spikes, and the one spike has bloomed 13 times, and the other 2 spikes have bloomed 4. It needs repotted in the worst way, and I was wondering if it will hurt to repot it while it is still in bloom? What do you think?

Default double pinocchio

I dont think it would hurt to repot a paph of any kind at any time. They like fresh media and usually respond well. And 3 spikes wow

The background is a signed print #1 of #3 I like to use on occasion...Cant even tell you who signed it. Was hanging on a bank lobby hallway and they remodeled and I got the prints. Its actually made of pressed recycled paper.

Paphs are fun when they start blooming
