My first Paph- found at Grocery Store!

I'm so excited! I finally got my first Paph today! Sorry that the quality of the picture isn't that great. I have wanted one for the longest time now, since I mostly have Phals and a few others that haven't bloomed yet. I found it at our local Wegmans grocery store! I've got tons of reading up to do on them now.

I have to say that I was completely unprepared for the addictiveness of this hobby. I am up to 10 orchids and now my husband is starting his own collection. We have to put in shelves and artificial lighting soon because they will never survive our "blah and dreary" New York winters without. Plus I don't have enough windows anyway.

I keep swearing that I won't buy anymore until March when Gardenscape comes. But I have a feeling that I'll never keep that promise.

Congrats! on your find, use caution a year and a half ago, I was saying yea I have ten, now I have over 250.

There seems to always be room for one more. Thankfully I started a notebook and listed each one and where it came from, bloomed etc and then numbered them, or I would have a real mess now. This is a serious addiction. Enjoy!!!!

They used to have a lot at Trader Joe's here, Oncidiums, Paphs, Cymbidiums now they just have Phalaenopsis. I got a similar Paph last year at TJ.

Congrats on the new arrival. I got my first paph last week. I hate to say it, but your baby is better looking than mine.

(Am I allowed to say that about my orchid children?)
