I purchased this paph concolor at the Longwood Garden's Orchid Show in March 2011. To be honest, I wanted a bellatulum but the particular vendor had sold out. So, I picked up a concolor based on the recommendation that is a good "beginner" paph and it could have two or three blooms per infloresence. I believe that concolor has the widest distribution of any paph species. It is in the sub-genus Brachypetalum.
This paph has been extremely easy to grow for me. In fact, one of the easiest orchids to grow that I have. I grow it with my phals, in an area that has very low light. It is in a fine, well-draining bark mix and I water thoroughly once per week with 1/4 strength fert. Although not the flashiest or largest flower, I would recommend this paph to the beginner to this genus (like me!).
