Default Help with my paphiopedilum

Not sure if this is something to be concerned about this morning when I was watering my Paph. Impulse x Hampshire Raven saw that the top leaf was laying over. The rest of the plant looks very healthy. This is on the new growth. Anything to be concerned about???

My Paph fairrieanum does that too. It's not a mottled leaf Paph, so I increased the light and the next leaf ended up stiffening up the one flopping over. I really don't know about yours, but I would guess it's nothing to be alarmed about. I'll wait for the more experienced to join in here and shed a light.

This was also a lighting problem for me too. The leaf returned to a more proper form once the light got brighter.

It probably is a light issue, but I'm also wondering if it could have something to do with repotting. I have a couple paphs that will do this if they want to be repotted, and their light levels don't change. Once they're in the new growing mix, they straighten the new leaf and keep on going.

You might be right on Barbara, watered again this a.m. and was remembering if the light levels have changed and they have not, this one has not been moved in a while. I did open the shade a bit more, will see by the weeks end and in the meantime get prepared for repotting. This little beauty hasn't been repotted for 2 years now...yuckie...guess I did just answer my own question...dang I hate when I do that

I sometimes see this problem with my Paphs too, and would agree that it is a lighting problem. However, I have also had suspicions that it may have something to do with repotting...
