Default What's going on?

I have a question about growth on my Paph. I have had this plant roughly 1 1/2 yeas. It has bloomed for me at least 2 times and was in bud when I got it. It's relatively healthy and is growing, but this particular growth has me baffled. It is growing sideways out of the pot. I don't know if this is normal for Paphs or if it is the result of SuperThrive. I have another that is growing similar growths. They look spindly. Is there anything I can do to correct this situation?

My first thought is that it may be due to low light. I remember someone else showing a Paph which was going spindly and they were told it was low light. I'm not sure if that happens low in the rhizome like you are seeing or higher in the fan though.

I will try to move it closer to the lights and see if that helps. Thanks, Rosie!!

Looks like it could use a repot up one pot size at least. There isn't enough room in that pot for that many growths. They really like to be repotted annually anyway.

Do paphs like to be roomy? The roots aren't bursting out of the pot or anything. As a matter of fact I might need to un-pot just to check them. Paph roots are harder to spot in the clear pots than phal, onc, den and catt roots. Hmmm, something to ponder!

Yep, needs to be re- potted and possibly a couple of growths divided off they will scramble with not enough room in the pot .. roots won't leave the pot but the top part will ..
