Some Paphs (amd a Phrag) from the TOS Orchid Show Male
Default Some Paphs (and a Phrag) from the TOS Orchid Show

The Triad Orchid Society show was this past weekend. We've had awful cold weather for weeks and when our show came, it warmed up to 60. So everyone enjoyed the sun and didn't come to the orchid show. Oh well, it was still a nice show. We are a small society and there were 10 awards including an FCC. I was really impressed with some of the Paphs we had. Here are a few I could not stop taking pictures of. The bulldogs are from Marriott and the Phrag is owned by a club member and originated from Orchidview. The Phrag received an AM and the Mariott orchids recieved 3 AM's and an HCC. Some plants not awarded were better than awarded one, but lets not get into that age old argument :-)

I love bulldog Paphs

Thanks for the pix, Hadley's booth is always a trip. Too bad attendance wasnt that hearty.

I have the same Phrag - Fritz Schomburg (kovachii x besseae var. flavum), and when she bloomed my wife and I were literally spellbound. We would just stand there gazing in awe. Amazing plant.

There's something about the paphs in the first two pictures that makes them look downright edible.... like piped out flowers on a cake.

Amazing. Thanks for sharing.

I'm with you, Ben, I love those bulldogs! The Phrag isn't bad either.
