My SUPER find! Paph. wolterianum

I just had to share my excitement! I was at my local big box store running an errand and couldn’t help but check out the orchid display. Now, I’ve never purchased an orchid at a big box store but couldn’t resist when I saw this little gem peeking out behind all the big phals and bulldog paphs. The flower is obviously dying but the leaves look good and it has two new growths. I talked to an employee about the flower and they knocked $10 off the price so I got to take home this little guy for only $7.99! I couldn’t resist (plus it originated from an orchid grower a couple hours away).

Now that's the way to finish a Friday!

Thanks! Actually, one of the reasons I got so excited about it is that I saw a Paph. hainanense a year ago and had been wanting one ever since. I had been thinking about mail order but this little guy satiates the urge!

The big box stores never carry orchids near me. I wish I could get Paphs. that way.

Very nice! The big box stores here never carry any Paphs., just Phals and Dendrobiums. At $7.99 that was quite a deal.
