Paph. Fanaticum, Fumi's Delight & helenae x purpuratum
This is my second Fumi's Delight (First one died very quick after arrival...). Even though the flowers are (IMO) not as nice as those of my previous plant, they are larger and the plant is pretty vigorous... Both plants are from the same cross (micranthum 'A Shan' x armeniacum 'Big Drum') by Orchids Limited.

my previous plant for comparison:

Paph Fanaticum and Paph helenaexpurpuratum are new additions to my collection. Both plants come L'Amazone Orchidee in Belgium. I have never been a big fan of Fanaticum, but somehow this plant got my attention (and I was in a good "buying-Mood" )... The helenae cross is a cute little plant... and it is a helenae cross (I have a weakness for them... )

All are beauties especially the first two. And if you like helenae crosses, I saw this one while visiting family in Florida last week. I would have purchased it but their pricing is a bit more than I would pay for this plant. I didn't write down the name but I do know it is a helenae cross... well, that's what the label said

Oh, I love Fumi's Delight (... actually, I love the parvis 'full stop' -some more than others- but it's a great hybrid ) Sorry you lost your first one, but it's nice you've got a healthy, vigorous plant. Congrats on all

It isn't that it was out of my reach but we all draw the financial line and at $50 ~ $60 it "ain't" in my budget.

50$ for a helenae hydrid!? wow! I normally pay around 30$, which is more or less a standard price for orchids in Europe....

Very beautiful paphs! Love the markings on the Fanaticum. I'd never heard of L'Amazone Orchidée, but I think I'm going to go have a look at their website. Always good to know of more places to get orchids!
