Default blasted brown buds

what would you have to say about a bulldog paph thats had 3 buds and all of them have been brown/dead upon coming up thru the leaf crease? I'm very careful not to get water into the crease when I feel buds grgowing. My 1st aggravating paph. Not the 1st one I kill. Only one death in the paph family so far so I feel blessed with that.

Its has one more growth thats not budded. I thinks its a rotten plant IMO. I don't have much trouble with too many paphs..This Churchill/Thunderhead is about to get tossed if the last growth buds and turns brown. 'm going to write it off as just a bad plant. This was my 2nd paph I bought and I did over-water it and lose many roots. They had been coming back slowly then it budded maybe in a last gasp for life? Has nothing new happening off the old dead bloomers. I think the plant over extended itself with 3 buds I didnt water enough maybe?

Im at genuine loss with this one

Could be a water issue... or it didn't have the oomph to sustain them due to the original damage... I take it that the temp remained steady throughout and stuff like that? It'd be a shame to get rid of it but I understand your frustration
