Default Paph Omdurman

I really like the bulldog (bucket) paphs for their large flowers and this one is no exception.

Fantastic color, Howard. I really love these 'bulldogs' too.

It's beautiful Howard...Congrats on getting yours to bloom. I can't grow these in south Florida...it's just too warm during our summers and I don't have the patience to devote extra care to them right now. In the meantime I'll just enjoy yours!

Thanks for the post, David

Thanks to all for your wonderful compliments.

David, long time no see.... but maybe it's me and not being around over the summer. I have seen these guys at a vendor on the east side of the state (Stuart) and they "seem" to do OK..... problem is they are VERY costly down there. This plant cost about $16.00+/-

Love those bulldogs and this one has just beautiful colours -- gorgeous rich colour.
Doc, Don't feel bad about the prices .... down here you can't even get one growth for under 45$ small (non blomming) growth. The prices I pay is 65$ for a mature bulldog paph.

Its nice to see you David, hope you're doing well

Hey Howard...and Gloria

I am the one that's been MIA...I've been real busy with work and the AOS student judging program, and to be honest, OB has not been a priority. Oh well, I'm going to at least try and log on every once in a while to see what's happening. It is nice to see some familiar names and avatars.

This weekend I'll be finishing my Paph. hybrid homework...and then I need to wrap up putting a presentation together on Paph. bellatulum, which I'm giving in 5 weeks...next weekend I'll be at the AOS show, helping with the judging, after which I have my monthly class and judging...it'll be an all day event for me at the AOS headquarters.

I have been enjoying the heck out of things with the program even though it does keep me very busy...I've even been able to travel out of the US for a couple of shows, as well as within the states, and I've met a lot of great folks. If anyone gets the opportunity, I highly recommend you visit Medellin, Columbia during the annual flower festival there...the orchid show is phenomenal, and the people and food there are great too!

That's it on this front for now...I'll do better at being around more often.

Take care, David

BTW...I don't even think that the bulldogs are offered for sale down here in south Florida...at least I haven't seen any.

Good for you, David. It's wonderful to hear some good news about someone I've had the pleasure of writing on OB. Wishing you every success with your new venture.
