I've found heat mats for sale in our garden center. Not sure if you will find them arround where you live as it wasn't a national chain of garden centers. It might be worth a look though.

Default ***UPDATE***

I opened the bag today and discovered several things
  • the compost was still moist
  • the pea stick supports had the beginnings of both white fluffy and black fungus growing on them
  • there is a nubbin between the main fan and the side shoot
So I wiped the sticks down with neat bleach on kitchen paper and photographed the nubbin to show you all, and then placed it in a clean bag to reduce the fungus reinfection rate.

Thanks very much, Duane, for suggesting this method - it seems to be working

Default paphs are tuff

good deal
they are really hardy plants and just want to grow. I have one with a single root left..only had 3 when I got it. Not complaining about anymore as I well compensated . Just lots of care its taken.
Had no luck growing any substantial roots like it had but its started these little root knots around the plants base after some time in just the described method. I used popsicle sticks to hold it up for awhile. The plants leaf structure took a hit as The leaves are paper thin with no substance..no roots thats what you get and the bud might be in reaction to pending death.

Its in a jar world with a bud on it till it just cant survive
