Default Paph Fanaticum x armeniacum

Hi,

This one grows cold and hasn't been registered yet I believe. This is a first time flowering plant and I think it has great promise, I love the markings. The photo is taken at a slight angle but the dorsal sepal is not straight and leans to the right at an angle which is a shame.

Hey maybe this would make a good cross with the Paph Magic Mood I posted earlier......

I'm not usually a fan of 'orangey' colours but I admit I've taken quite a shine to this one (I've popped on and had a look at it a few times!). I especially like the shape of the pouch.

I think it is nice and maybe future blooms won't have the bent dorsal sepal.

To me it's looking really great those flowers are heavy so they tend to bend the spike don't mind the leans you can always line it up but I would leave it like that. Some plants of mine grow flowers toward the sun light and some against so it's a factor to where did it been light from. I have succulent that in a massive sunlight change his leaves to green and with less to black. how cool is that?

This is a really nice flower, I may have to keep my eyes peeled in case I can get my hands on one. I agree, there's room for improvement, but I think yours is a beautiful flower, and I certainly wouldn't part with it if it were mine. The plant size also appears to be quite small, a plus for those of us with limited space!

I imagine the best of the bunch would have slightly more vibrant base color and darker veins and more full shape, but seeing that this is a first bloom seedling, I suspect the next time it blooms, the flower will be even better.
