Im still learning a lot from these experiences and enjoying them none the less..The plants should be fun and not really something to get overloaded about

uhh its okey really

I have some stuff coming from First Rays to soothe the pain of a blasted bud..

Its fun seeing them flower when you order them in spike or bud ,but its even more enjoyable in the long run to grow your own bud..The plants really yours when it buds for you...

Too true I've only ever bought one plant in flower and while it was quite lovely to have it sitting pretty from the off, it's still a better feeling to 'grow your own' I think

Yeah, home grown spikes are the best. Most of mine have been bought in flower, but I'm now for the first time getting home grown Paph buds/flowers and it feels so great to know I've grown those spikes from scratch.

it give you the feeling like you are close to being the CREATOR and in some respects you are...its just another special feel the orchids give you..even if elusive and rapidly passing..its the Moment like the Big Bang

So, we are really all trying to satisfy our God complex. We control their environments so we decide if they live or die, who they will breed, etc. Don't take this being critical as I am the same way, it's just another way of looking at it. We do get our just rewards in the end, either way.

Hi again you guys

I'm just in the process of ordering another couple of Paphs - I thought I'd have a go Paph micranthum which, from what I gather should be ok if I give it cooler temps over winter, and Paph Magic Lantern (delenatii x micranthum).

So, RJ, you were half right in the earlier post - I do want more, even though I don't have that first bloom yet. What I have been really enjoying is watching my other two grow (especially the paph delenatii which is throwing out new fans left-right-and-centre!)

Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures when they arrive x
