Default My first Paph. re-bloom!

Tag reads Paph. niveum 'Puff' x Pinocchio 'Pippin' - a web search indicates the registered name to be Taisuco America's Sprite ...

This has been blooming for about three weeks. I was hoping to wait for the second bud to open to post a pic (it had this bloom and 2 more buds), but the second bud has blasted - the third is developing tho, and with the Pinocchio parent I suspect this plant may be a sequential bloomer ...

I got this plant late July last year - a "find" at a local hardware store!

This is my first ever Paph rebloom - I'm really excited!
Thanks for looking

Beautiful! Good growing. I have a NoID paph just putting up a spike, and that will be my first rebloom. I have so many that have not rebloomed and I'm still trying to figure out their culture.

Thanks Terri - I do love this one!
Thanks Connie! I have a few Paphs - all off them I have had a slightly longer than this one, and this is my first to rebloom. But they all have their own pace too I think.
Can't wait to see yours!

Really nice. It would be great if it had the Pinnochio trait of sequential blooming. I bought a Pinnochio in June and it keeps putting out one flower after another.

I don't count my Pinnochio as a re-bloom though because the spike was there when I bought it. I'm most excited about what I count as my first Paph re-bloom which is a Maudiae that I've watched grow a new fan and then that fan develop a bud and then very very very slowly open that bud. It's about fully open now.

Isn't it so exciting to get one

Very nice. Niveum is such a beautiful flower, and there's a lot of it in this one. Way to go!

When I got this last summer, it had 2 blooms and 2 buds - it developed one more bud that ended up blasting tho, before it was "done" blooming. So maybe sequential, and the environmental change, as well as being subjected to extreme heat and dryness at the store, caused it to stop at 5, or maybe it's a semi-sequential bloomer lol - we'll see I guess ...

I can't wait to see pix of yours Rosie - and yes, it's exciting to get a "new type" to bloom!
