Paph deperle
This one is a primary hybrid between Paph primulinum and Paph delenatii. This cross yeilds white blooms because generally in paph breeding yellow blooms crossed with pink blooms makes the colours more subtle. This is also supposed to be a easy grower and recommended for beginners.
This is a first blooming for this guy. Not my showiest bloom but cute. I think the bud is cool looking. I hoped the petals would be more horizontal and wider. I was waiting for the second bud to open before posting, but I couldn't wait any longer
Do you think my lighting is too intense for these photos?

Very pretty, I was actually looking into this one so thanks for showing the bloom. I like the hint of yellow and the shape. What is the mature size and did it pick up any of delenatii's foilage characteristics?
BTW, I think the lighting is perfect, but then I'm no expert!

I have EXACTLY the same paph deperle. But now it's busy making babies, lol!! When it was in bloom it smelled slightly like a rose. And I had three flowers on one stem. Does yours smell?

Deperle seem to look the same for many people! Mine has no scent that I can pick up. I was hoping for something with better than the ordinary (well don't we all want the best plant I guess)...but mine's just cute and ordinary

Yes it has mottled leaved. The tesselations aren't as well defined as delenatii's though. Mine has a leaf span of 11 inches when I spread them out, but that can vary from plant to plant and growing conditions

your's is better than mine. It has nicer petals. Nice Deperle there!
I had to post a sideway picture to hide my Deperle's poor form..hehe mine has dog ears petals, so I won't post a face on picture. Maybe it's second bud will be better

Oh, no, it's just the way you pictured it! Try to make a pic of it directly from the front, so its face would take all the rectangle of camera. Yours is just as beautiful as mine, I think it's the angle at which you pictured it, so it seems to be hanging the petals.
