How did I miss seeing this last week? Beautiful flower. Bolero. I have a question please? I read that the parents of this hybrid are delanatii and micranthum - one of which prefers lime and one of which prefers acid soils. Have you modified your compost in any way and does the offspring favour one or the other? I have just purchased one of these and don't want to kill it - we have very hard tap water here. I can access rain water if you think that would be better.

I generally use rain water (tank water) to water these. I use medium bark, charcoal and perlite. I do not modify the mix to add lime.

They can grow very cold and very hot. So far so good, I've had this plant for 3 or 4 years.
