Default can't figure out what I did wrong?????

This was a X'mas present I received in the mail, in bud. It bloomed around New Years and soon after, began fading and drooping. Looked great for about a week. I had it indoors during the cold snap we had and as soon as the temps went back up (low 70's), it went out on the patio. (It started looking sickly before I brought it out). This morning, I found the bloom had fallen. I don't have many Paphs but, the blooms have always lasted over 2 months...this one, started dying as soon as it opened?

Any thoughts?

orchids can be unpredictable....sometimes they just dont take to the travel and changes in environment right away....the plant looks very good tho, and will probably acclamate to your environment, and the next blooms will last longer...it is a very fine looking flower!

Wish I could help you out Sandy, but all I can say is that my Paph Pinocchio did the same thing last month. It bloomed beautifully for about a week, and then dropped its flower, more like a Phrag than a Paph. The plant looks good, and is opening another bloom now. I guess it's just one of those things. Hang in there, you're not alone.

I agree with duonoharm. When Paph flowers are exposed to changing enviroments their lives are shortened. When they are shipped during the winter, or even brought straight home from a greenhouse in bud, they can die very quickly. The next time it blooms, in your conditions, it will last longer.
