I haven't been uploading a lot of photos on here lately - now that I'm on break it's a good time to do so! Blooming on 5 spikes this time around; two flowers are open so far. This species is tough and everyone should have at least one in their collection. This plant survived quite a bit of sunburn this summer and I was surprised to see all those spikes developing. With a bunch of new growths coming now, I hope to have a nice-looking plant next year.
I did a macro stack for this photo because I couldn't get both flowers in focus. As a result it looks kind of weird in the background, but at least you can see the flowers.
Wonderful. Can't see a problem in the background either.
It's tough to see in this reduced resolution form of the photo, but in the bottom-left hand corner, and the top edges in the center and left sides, there are areas that have darker patches, from inaccurate color blending/filling, I guess. When you look at the full size 3331 x 2081 frame, it's easier to see.
