Baby Paph!!!!
I got this in today; it's my first paph and it is so cool! It's really tiny though; I think I might go gray by the time it blooms
Enjoy!

Very cute . You might be surprised, though. I got a Paph. sukhakulii about 6 months ago that size and she's actually getting fairly big and might bloom within the next year or so if she keeps going like she is.

thanks susan!!!
anthony, it's a vini hybrid. no specific name but the cross is:
Paph. Wizard of Oz 'Hausermann's Toto' AM/AOS x (Paph. Black Briar x Paph. Voodoo Magic)
I certainly hope that it grows fairly fast, but for now I'm just going to enjoy it for what it is.

that should be fun! I definitely love a nice vini Paph! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how quickly it grows. Also, once it gets a couple years growth on it, it should be blooming every few months with multiple flowers up at a time!
Out of curiousity, do you have any extra potting medium? bark, or anything really? It looks like it could use a bit more medium. Not much, don't cover that lower leaf, but I can see root base showing. They can certainly grow that way, but it makes it harder for new roots to get where they need to be without drying and shriveling up first

Really? I didn't know they would grow that quickly. So it will be putting out tons of new fans with age? Wow, that's really awesome!!!
I do have a little more bark stuff. I checked the roots (i'd never seen a paph root and heard they were cool!!) to see how developed they were and put it back in the pot; some of the medium fell off in the process. I'll put it back on top--thanks for the tip.
I look forward to seeing what this plant will do for me. I really like the vinis and hope that I will have a lot of fun with this one!!!!

I agree, it could flower sooner than you might think. I have one with similar looking leaves that was in flower when I got it and was not that much larger than. It is now growing a new fan.

I really hope it does start to grow. I'm not expecting any new growth as of yet, but when spring comes I am going to repot it in to S/H (I got in some PrimeAgra today!) and hopefully start it off to a wonderful year!!!
Thanks guys for the encouragements. I really look forward to seeing this one bloom! There are some good names in the cross....

David, the multi-bloomers are sloooow, a person can live a long life and die before some of them feel like blooming, LOL!
Looks like you got a nice healthy paph - should be a real pretty one.
Good luck, enjoy and make that baby BLOOM!!

Thanks Gloria! I am interested in the roth hybrids so I'd better get them soon, so I can see their first blooming before I croak!!!!
I hope to make this one bloom soon. I'm switching it over to S/H in the next few days and going to see what it does!!!!!
