Default Paphiopedilum helenae fma. delicatum (in my dreams!)

Actually I am quite upset... I bought this Paph. heleneae from a well known vendor, who is supposed to know this form pretty well... I travelled 5h by train to get it at an orchids show... and now this.. "Fühle mich total Verarscht!!":mad::mad: I can accept that a plant is mislabelled, but hey.. this is teh second plant from the same vendor which turns to be something different (at least this time the species is correct!)

well, at least I like the dorsal....

Well it's a very pretty flower. What a shame it's not the form you wanted.

Ramon, There's a few of us here in the States that would be willing to take it off your hands. The dorsal is very nice looking.

well.. it is indeed a nice Paph. helenae. Nothing espectacular, but a nice one... and I already have 3 other very nice Paph. helenae already...

I know in the USA everybody would be more than happy having this one, as this species "is not available" in the USA... however, it is like if you (in teh USA) have 3 very nice Phragmipedium kovachii (this species easily available in the USA, and more or less limited in the USA). Then you decide to buy one ofthe great hybrids (which are not available in Europe). And when it blooms... ZAS! you have a quite normal Phragmipedium kovachi... I know many in Europe who would be willing to take it off your hands... but you would be anyway upset it is not what you thought you had...

Still gorgeous, although I understand what you're mad about. Even if it wasn't a rare orchid, I still wouldn(t be too happy to get somethin other than what I paid for. Is this the same vendor that sold you the wrong Sarcochilus?
